The interview waiver eligibility has been extended for Pakistanis holding US visas
The United States Mission in Pakistan is pleased to announce the expansion of interview waivers at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and the U.S. Consulate General in Karachi for Pakistani nationals renewing B1/B2 tourist and business visas, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
All Pakistani nationals, regardless of age, whose B1/B2 visa is valid or has expired within the last 48 months are eligible to participate.
Previously, only Pakistani citizens aged 45 and above were eligible to participate. Additionally, interview waiver eligibility for student and petition-based work visa applicants who previously held US visas has been extended until 2023.
The expansion of interview waiver eligibility is a process change to provide better customer service and efficiently renew tourist and business visas for qualified and eligible Pakistani nationals.
As required by US law, some eligible visa holders may be required to appear for an interview at a US Embassy or US Consulate General after submitting their application.
