The India Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert for many areas across the country. The department has predicted heat wave in many parts of Thane, Raigarh and Mumbai in Maharashtra between April 27 and 29. At the same time, IMD said that Delhi’s maximum temperature is expected to be 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Furthermore, the department reported that the heat wave will affect normal life in South West Bengal till at least April 30. IMD advised people to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, drink enough water, wear cotton clothes and cover their heads while going out in the sun.
The temperature of Delhi is expected to be 40 degrees
IMD said the minimum temperature in the capital Delhi was recorded at 21.6 degrees Celsius on Friday morning. According to the department, Delhi’s maximum temperature is expected to be around 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday. However, the department estimates that the day may be partly cloudy and windy.
Advice to avoid heat wave in Maharashtra
IMD has predicted heat wave in many parts of Thane, Raigarh and Mumbai in Maharashtra from April 27 to 29. A non-cyclonic circulation has formed over many parts of Thane, Raigad and Mumbai, due to which temperatures will rise. He said the temperature may remain very high on April 27 and 28. This is the second heatwave alert issued in Mumbai and the surrounding area.
