Due to the death of the priest’s son at the Baba Pataneshwar Temple in Malayapur, Jamui, there were fewer marriages even after the marriage ceremony was held for two consecutive days. Local people said that at least 200 marriages were conducted on the day when it was the auspicious time for temple marriages. People come here not only from Jamui but from many districts including Munger, Lakserai, Shaikhpura to get married.

There is a belief in the temple that the wedding here brings happiness in life.
