The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faiz Isa, says that any kind of interference in the judiciary will not be tolerated.

A full court meeting was held in the Supreme Court under the chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faiz Isa, on the issue of the letter of 6 judges of the Islamabad High Court, the statement of which was issued.

According to the publication, the Chief Justice of Pakistan received the letter on March 26, on the seriousness of the matter, he called a meeting of the Chief Justice and 6 judges of Islamabad on the same day. The Chief Justice invited all the judges to his residence and asked all the judges individually. In the meeting, it was proposed to form an inquiry commission, led by a distinguished retired judge, and the inquiry commission should investigate the matter.

The Prime Minister assured that a federal cabinet meeting will be called to approve the formation of the commission.

The statement also said that the full meeting of the court had considered the issues raised in the six judges’ letter.

The Chief Justice said that the interference of the executive in the judicial work of the judges will not be tolerated, the interference of the executive in the judiciary as an institution should not be tolerated at all, the independence of the judiciary cannot be compromised under any circumstances.

It should be remembered that the full meeting of the court was held after the meeting between the Chief Justice and the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

It should be noted that 6 judges of the Islamabad High Court raised the issue of the interference of executive and secret agencies in the judiciary.

These judges talked about the events that happened to them and wrote that the scope of the investigation should be wide so that there is still no interference in marking and forming benches for hearing the cases?
