There may be relief from the heat wave in northern India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that due to thunderstorms, there is less chance of a heat wave in northern India. IMD scientist Soma Sen Roy says that on April 26, very strong winds blew in many parts of northwest India. Hailstorms also occurred in states like Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Due to all this, the possibility of a heat wave is smaller. Temperatures will drop due to stormy activity. A drop of four to five degrees Celsius is possible. However, there is a possibility of a heat wave in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
An orange alert has been issued due to the possibility of rain in these areas
IMD scientist Roy said that strong dusty winds are blowing. The day after tomorrow it rained and thundered in the plains. Therefore, an orange alert has been issued in areas like Punjab and Haryana.
Heat is possible in these areas, the temperature is expected to be 45 to 47 degrees.
Talking about the heat wave situation, Roy said there could be a crisis in eastern India, West Bengal areas lying on the banks of the Ganga and Odisha. The temperatures in these areas can reach over 45 degrees Celsius to 47 degrees Celsius. We think there will be a red alert in the Gangetic parts of West Bengal and Odisha for a few days. At the same time, eastern states like Bihar, Jharkhand and southern regions like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Konkan will remain under heat shadow for the next two to five days.
