100 months have passed since the suicide case of Rohith and Mawla, a student from the University of Hyderabad. Now the Telangana government says that the inquiry will be conducted again in this matter. In fact, Rohit’s mother Radhika Vemula met Telangana Chief Minister Ravath Reddy and demanded justice. CM assured all possible help to Radhika and Molly.
The matter will be looked into again – Revanth Reddy
CM Reddy tells Radhika and Moolah that the 2016 Hyderabad University student Rohit’s suicide will be re-examined. The prime minister said that this matter will be examined with full transparency. Earlier, Rohit’s brother Raja and Mulla claimed that the district commissioner had not taken a decision about the family being a scheduled caste.
The family objected to the closure report
Raja and Mulla says his family objected to the closure report presented by the police. According to him, the competent authority to provide clarifications on the caste situation is the district collector, Guntur district in the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh. Raja and Mulla raised the demand to drop the cases against other students against whom they were registered. The police submitted their closure report to the local court on Rohit’s death. The report claimed that Rohit and Mawla was not a Dalit and committed suicide fearing to reveal his true identity. In the absence of evidence, the police gave ‘click chat’ to the accused in this case.
Telangana Director General of Police Ravigupta, citing the suspicion expressed by Rohit’s family, said in his statement that a petition will be filed in court, requesting the district court to allow further investigation.
