1. Silver hit an all-time high: It was sold at ₹ 93,094 per kg, 10 grams of gold became cheaper by ₹ 100 and became INR 74,114.
On Wednesday (May 22) there was a slight decrease in gold prices. According to the website of the Indian Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of gold became cheaper by Rs 100 to Rs 74,114 during the trade.
However, money reached an all-time high. It became dearer by Rs 221 to touch Rs 93,094 per kg. Earlier on Tuesday, May 21, silver was at Rs 92,873.

2. There is no need to take a test at the RTO for a driver’s license: starting June 1st you can take it at a private center, you will also receive a certificate of eligibility to drive.

3. RBI to transfer record surplus of Rs 2.11 crore to government: This is Rs 1.23 crore more than last year, when Rs 87,416 crore were transferred.
The RBI Board has approved a record surplus transfer of ₹ 2,10,874 crore to the government for 2024. In the last financial year 2022-23, RBI transferred a surplus of ₹ 87,416 crore to the government. That is, it is NIS 1.23 million more than last year.
This transfer of surpluses is for FY24, but it will be reflected in the government accounts for FY25. The surplus was announced in the 608th meeting of the Central Board of RBI. This meeting was held on May 22 in Mumbai under the chairmanship of Governor Shaktikanta Das.

5. Paytm’s loss in the fourth quarter increased by 228%: it was 550 million rupees, revenues also decreased by 3% to 2,267 million rupees.
Paytm One’s parent company 97 Communications suffered a loss of Rs 550 crore on an annualized basis in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023-24. The loss in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year i.e. 2022-23 was Rs 167.5 crore. That is, the company’s loss increased by 228%.
The company’s revenues also decreased. Paytm’s revenue from operations in the January-March quarter stood at Rs 2,267 crore. Revenues in the corresponding quarter last year were 2,334 million rupees. That is, the company’s revenues decreased by 3% on an annual basis in the fourth quarter.
