1. Silver hit an all-time high: It was sold at ₹ 93,094 per kg, 10 grams of gold became cheaper by ₹ 100 and became INR 74,114.

On Wednesday (May 22) there was a slight decrease in gold prices. According to the website of the Indian Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of gold became cheaper by Rs 100 to Rs 74,114 during the trade.

3. RBI to transfer record surplus of Rs 2.11 crore to government: This is Rs 1.23 crore more than last year, when Rs 87,416 crore were transferred.

The RBI Board has approved a record surplus transfer of ₹ 2,10,874 crore to the government for 2024. In the last financial year 2022-23, RBI transferred a surplus of ₹ 87,416 crore to the government. That is, it is NIS 1.23 million more than last year.

This transfer of surpluses is for FY24, but it will be reflected in the government accounts for FY25. The surplus was announced in the 608th meeting of the Central Board of RBI. This meeting was held on May 22 in Mumbai under the chairmanship of Governor Shaktikanta Das.
