Himachal Pradesh is well known for its breathtaking landscapes including snow-capped mountains, lush green forests and meandering rivers and streams. It is one of the most preferred holiday destinations for those who enjoy hiking and seek a peaceful retreat. Places like Shimla, Manali, Kullu are crowded with tourists. However, this state has some beautiful villages that can help you escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Nago: A lakeside hamlet with clean mountain air located on the border between India and China. Any time of the year is a great time to visit this place, but winters are a must visit as the surroundings are especially magical. The mountains are covered with snow. In summer, visitors can go boating on Lake Nago, and in winter, when the surface of the lake is frozen, they can go skiing.

Kipper: Kipper is located in the beautiful Spiti Valley. There is a wildlife sanctuACHI where you can see mountain animals like Himalayan wolves, ibex, snow leopards and Tibetan woolly rabbits. You can trek to Kee Gompa, the largest monastery in the Spiti Valley, which is four kilometers away. There are guesthouses and homestay alternatives in the area. You can visit Kipper only from June to October.

Kalpa: Kalpa, the riverside town of Kalpa in Kinnoor district, is often referred to as a place of wonder. Kalpa is a unique destination for anyone who wants some peace and quiet in the hills, surrounded by nature and with a very relaxing atmosphere.

Dhankar: This stunning village is located between Tabo and Gaza and remains untouched by commercialization. An old monastery, Thangar Gompa, houses a meditating Buddha statue. The monastery houses a museum of ancient Buddhist artefacts.

Malana: Unspoilt natural beauty, exquisitely carved temples, views of Deo Tippa and Sandargani peaks all make this historic village called Malana a beautiful holiday destination for tourists.
