Two days after sending summons to Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, Maharashtra CyberCell has now sent summons to actress Tamannaah Bhatia. The case relates to the promotion of viewing of IPL matches in 2023 on the FairPlay app belonging to Mahadev’s online gaming and betting app.
Asked to appear on April 29
Maharashtra Cyber Cell asked the actress to appear before it on April 29. According to Cyber Cell, Tamanna’s statement will be recorded in this case. The actress will be asked who brought her for Chwarae Teg and how much money she got for it.

A summons was sent to Sanjay Dutt on 23 April
ANI has given information about this on its Twitter handle. Before Tamannaah Bhatia, on April 23, actor Sanjay Dutt was also called in this case. When Sanjay was summoned in this case, the actor said that he is currently not in Mumbai and cannot appear on the specified date. He has asked for a date and time to record his statement.
Singer Badshah, actress Jacqueline Fernandez and actor Sanjay Dutt are also promoting this app.

Earlier in the same case, Maharashtra Cyber Cell had recorded the statements of singer Badshah’s managers, Sanjay Dutt and Jacqueline Fernandez. These three celebrities have been promoting the Chwarae Teg app. Mahadev App is under the scanner of various investigating agencies for illegal transactions and betting.

In February 2023, many Bollywood celebrities including Tiger Shroff and Neha Kakkar came to perform at a lavish wedding held in the United Arab Emirates city of Ras Al Khaimah. Almost Rs 200 crore was spent on this lavish wedding and the entire payment was made in hawala or cash. This was the wedding of 28-year-old Saurabh Chandrakar, living in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.
After this marriage, Saurabh and his betting app Mahadev came under the radar of investigating agencies. Later in the same case, ED also issued summons to celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor and Kapil Sharma. So far, the names of dozens of Bollywood celebrities have surfaced in this case.
ED had also questioned Ranbir Kapoor in this case.
The name of the former CM of Chhattisgarh also came up
In March this year, the name of former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel also came up in the Mahadev Satta case. ED had claimed that the promoters gave them the money through hawala. An FIR was also lodged against Bhupesh in the case. An investigation into this case is currently ongoing.
