Due to ongoing leaks in the Chirkunda Municipal Water Supply Scheme, 50 thousand of the population did not get water on Thursday. Because of this there is a protest in the whole area because there is no water available since the morning in this scorching heat. The angry villagers reached the Chirkunda Municipal Council office and complained to EO Sandeep Paswan. After that, on the instructions of EO, City Manager Mukesh Niranjan started the repair work on the damaged pipeline in front of Sarsa Pahari Gurunanak Mission School. He also mentioned the start of uninterrupted water supply in the area from Friday.
