Barnala police have recovered cash and weapons from a car during the siege. Rs 12 lakh 46 thousand and a 12 bore revolver were found from a Fortuner car coming from Chandigarh to Bathinda at Badbar Toll Plaza. As per the Election Commission instructions, keeping more than Rs 50 thousand in cash is prohibited. The occupants of the car were residents of Delhi and Haryana, who could not show the police any documents regarding the cash and the revolver. The police seized cash and a revolver and arrested four people and registered a case.
