NEW DELHI: A shocking incident has taken place in the national capital, Delhi, when an assailant entered a mother’s house and shot her dead because she opposed her daughter’s illicit relationship.

A woman was shot dead in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area and the accused, who belonged to a different religion, had an illicit relationship with the deceased woman’s daughter, police said. As the woman objected to this, the accused entered her house and opened fire.

The family members rushed the injured woman to the city’s Ram Babu Jagjivan Hospital, but the doctors declared her brought dead without treatment. Before the murder, the accused had reportedly posted a video of himself firing a pistol on his WhatsApp status.

In the video posted on WhatsApp status, the accused is seen brandishing a pistol. Moreover, in another status, he posted another video where cartridges were kept along with the pistol.
