The prosecution failed to prove in court the nine-year-old girl’s charges of extortion and murderous attack involving 25 people, including former state agriculture minister Yogendra Sao. The prosecution could not produce a single witness. Thus, on Friday, the court of Additional Justice Vishal Srivastava acquitted all the 25 accused including former minister Yogendra Sao due to lack of evidence. Ashutosh Mishra, Mahesh Mahato, Dhirendra Prajapati, Dharmanath Sao, Gurudayal Sao, Sanjay Das, Sukhlal Bhuiyan, Badri Sao, Sanjay Sao, Sudan Ganjhu, Sudhir Das and others accused in the case were acquitted. Defense advocate Vimal Kumar said the prosecution could not establish the case.
