Significant progress has been made in the cases being heard in the Karachi Registry of the Supreme Court. A 3 member bench headed by Qazi Faiz Isa disposed of 46 cases in 5 days.
Most of the completed cases were pending in the Supreme Court for 15 years. Between April 22 and 26, there were 49 cases to be heard in the Supreme Court Registry.

These cases involved civil, criminal, labor recruitment and land.
The Chief Justice also ordered an end to encroachments outside buildings, on highways and footpaths.
