Woodland, water and mountain are all represented in the works on display, which will be on view throughout May and June at Gairloch Museum in Wester Ross.
Visitors are invited to reflect on their relationship with the land, to understand the many (sometimes competing) uses that are made of it and to recognize, despite the majesty and grandeur, its fragility.
Gairloch Museum moved to a new building in 2019 after securing lottery funding and the following year was named the Art Fund’s Museum of the Year 2020.
In 2023 it gained Visit Scotland five star status.
Eilidh Smith, from Gairloch Museum, said: “We hope that visitors as well as those who live locally will take the time to reflect on their relationship with the landscape, whether that be by sharing a photo with us or a or perhaps a piece of writing.
“We all have a connection to – or an interaction with – the coast, hills, woods, strata and fresh land of the Highlands.”
