Chennai: Finally the wait is over. IPL 2024 kicks off with a grand opening ceremony. The cricket fever surrounding the 17th season of the Indian Premier League is conquering the sports lovers. Before MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell entered the field, Bollywood stars rocked the Chipok Stadium in Chennai.
Like every year, BCCI organized the colorful opening ceremony. Two Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Sraff performed. Chipok stadium was all excited with the dance of the two stars.

Then legendary Oscar winning composer AR Rahman and National award winning singer Sonu Nigam performed. The entire audience stood up to Sonu Nigam’s Bande Mataram song. Er Rahman also swooned over the tune.

Incidentally, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore are facing each other in the first match of IPL 2024. Cricket lovers are looking forward to see the match between Dhoni and Kohli at CSK’s home ground. RCB won the toss and decided to bat first.
