Congress MP Rahul Gandhi campaigned in Cuttack, Odisha, ahead of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Addressing a rally here, the Congress leader described Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as similar. He said that though BJP and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) are fighting the election battle against each other, in reality both are working together.
Addressing the rally, Rahul Gandhi said, “On the one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is running a government for the billionaires of Delhi, and on the other hand, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is running a government that works only for the elected people of the country.
The Congress leader further said, “Call it partnership or marriage, both BJD and BJP together.” Referring to Navin Patnaik, he said that though Navin Patnaik is the chief minister of Odisha, the BJD government in the state is run by his associate VK Pandian.
