Former TDP Amavati minister Bhuma Akhilapriya was arrested. Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy is touring Nandyal district today as part of the ‘Memanta Saarayan’ bus tour. On this occasion, a huge public meeting will be organized in Nandyala. At this order Akhilapriya went to the assembly and tried to petition Jagan regarding the release of irrigation water. TDP ranks also moved heavily with her.
Alerted by this, the police immediately arrested her and took her to the police station. This caused a commotion in the assembly hall. The TDP leaders asked the police what is the point of arresting them if they come to give a petition. Akhilapriya said the CM’s office did not respond when she tried to get an appointment, so she tried to submit a petition directly to the CM.
