Jaishankar’s response to Biden’s statement

Biden made this statement during a fundraising event in Washington for the presidential election campaign. Biden said that along with Russia and China, Japan’s economy can also be strengthened if they also start welcoming immigrants to their land.

In this statement by Biden, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Union S. Jaishankar hit back. He said that the country’s economy is not faltering. Jaishankar further said, “India has always been a unique country. I really want to say that it was a country that welcomed everyone. Different people from different societies come to India. Jaishankar said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is an example law.”

On the ongoing criticism regarding the CAA, Jaishankar said, “Many people are saying publicly that because of the CAA, a million Muslims will lose their citizenship in this country.” He added: “Why don’t they give an account? Because no one is going to lose citizenship.”

The White House responded to Biden’s xenophobic statement. White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said President Biden commented on how important it is for immigrants to be in the country and how they strengthen our country. He talked about it because it has to do with our relations with our allies. There is no doubt that we have strong relations with Japan and India. The president has focused on strengthening diplomatic relations with these countries for the past three years.

Jaishankar criticized the Western media

Jaishankar also responded to the ongoing anti-Israel protest at an American university. He criticized the Western media for this. According to him, “there is a report here with ideological motives, which is not impartial.” He said that this section of the media wants to shape the global perspective and is targeting India.
