Mobile Van Awareness Rath was flagged off by Plan India, a nationally registered non-profit organization and International Plan Federation in Khuntapani to raise awareness about menstruation among teenage girls. This initiative is part of the “Child Pratinidhi Project” which Plan India has been implementing in Chaibasa, Jharkhand since 2011.
The inauguration program held on Tuesday was attended by Khuntapani Block Development Officer, local leaders, medical officers, child development and protection officers, and community members of the project area. Youth volunteers from Chaibasa, Khuntapani, and Jharkhand led the flag hoisting for the awareness vehicle. All stakeholders expressed their support by signing to ensure the success of the campaign. The awareness vehicle will visit local villages and hamlets for the next seven days and spread important information about menstrual health and hygiene. The Block Development Officer said that the active participation of all stakeholders shows that the community is committed to improving the menstrual health and hygiene of teenage girls. Which will have a lasting effect on their well-being.
