Election Commission Statements of Political Leaders in Constituencies – Pakistan
The Election Commission has considered the statements made by various political leaders regarding constituencies.
According to the statement issued by the spokesperson of the Election Commission, it is the right of the state government to give the number of local councils of each district according to Section 10 of the Local Government Act.
Government of Sindh has issued the number of local councils on 31 December 2021.
According to the Electoral Commission spokesperson, the federal government could not change the number of union councils after the election, the federal government increased the number of union councils from 101 to 125 during the election.
The Election Commission of Islamabad Local Government Election has ordered the election to be held on time, the case of Islamabad Local Government Election was being heard in the court, the Election Commission was ready for the election in Islamabad in 7 to 10 days.
The spokesperson added that the Election Commission is fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities effectively and said that the statement made by Rana Sanallah is false and misleading the people. The allegations against the Election Commission are baseless and contrary to reality.
Once the election schedule is released, names cannot be added or removed from the lists, the electoral lists published in October 2022 will be used in the next general elections.
It should be noted that Home Minister Rana Sanaullah said yesterday that the Election Commission cannot fulfill its responsibility in the constituencies.
