BBMP: Engineer dies in fire accident; The corporation has come forward for the renovation of room ‘Aa’ Achi-News

Bangalore: On August 11, 2023, the quality check control room of BBMP head office caught fire (Fire Accident). An engineer was killed in this. Now BBMP is going to update this quality check control and start working again.

Continuation of the control room in central offices

BBMP has proposed to renovate the quality check control room. The corporation has decided to keep the control room again in the central office building. Along with this, renovation work is planned at a cost of 7 crores. On August 11, 2023, a sudden fire broke out in the quality control room in the central office building. Engineer Superintendent Sivakumar died. Besides this, five other employees of the Corporation were seriously injured. Now BBMP is planning to open a control room again at the same place.

Renovation of quality check control room at a cost of seven crores

A total grant of seven crores was received for this, and the corporation has decided to take five crores for complete renovation and two crores for security measures. Mainly because there were no doors for the crew to escape in a fire accident, lives were lost. So, this time the corporation has decided to build at least five entrance exit doors for the same building.

BBMP will build a fire escape for the nearby building too!!

There is also a lack of security in another Corporation building attached to this room. Therefore, together with the number of exits and entrance doors of the Annex 3 building, it is also intended to build a hydrant pipe line next to the same building to be used in case of an accidental fire accident.
