Guwahati: At least 20 people, including children, were killed in a huge fire that broke out in a play area in Gujarat’s Rajkot on Saturday afternoon, May 25.
Reports quoting Rajkot Police Commissioner Raju Bhargava said around 20 bodies were recovered and they were sent to the hospital for further investigation.

“A fire broke out in the TRP play area in the afternoon. Rescue operations are on. The fire is under control. We are trying to retrieve as many bodies as possible. Investigations will be carried out,” Bhargava said.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said the state government would provide Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.
He also said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed and assigned to investigate the entire incident.
