There is a severe water crisis in the city due to the bursting of the Narmada Line, which supplies 30 to 32 MLD of water per day. The corporation had installed a new 450 mm diameter DI-K9 pipeline of 10.750 km length from Sukta Jaswadi in April 2024. Along with this, 4 new motor pumps were installed. Since 2014, water is being supplied to the city through Narmada Jal Yojana. Rs 106.72 crore was spent on this scheme. Then, in order to reduce the cost of this scheme, an 800 mm diameter GRP line was installed instead of iron. Some people often break easily to irrigate the fields in the area of ​​50 kilometers from Charkheda to the city.
