GUWAHATI: NEDFi is organizing five days pre-Bhogali Mela to be held from April 9 to 13, 2024 at NEDFi Haat, Rupnagar from 10 AM to 8 PM.
At the event, clothing and various traditional handicrafts will be presented alongside foods. Mela will also introduce a range of GI tag items including the Eri and Muga silk garments.

The event is organized with the support of indigenous entrepreneurs and Self Help Groups (SHG) of Assam.
More than 50 entrepreneurs from across Assam will participate in the upcoming Mela, ready to present their innovative ventures. Central to the event will be the exhibition of loom looms and traditional clothing.
On March 31, 19 items from Assam, including Assam japi, dhol, Bodo Dokhona, Eri Silk, among others, received GI tags from the Register of Geographical Indications, Government of India.
