The investigation report of the Legal Committee to the Governor

In the case, the Jiram Valley Judicial Inquiry Committee headed by Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra submitted the inquiry report to the then Governor Anusuya Uike on November 7, 2021. This report was prepared in 10 volumes and 4,000 184 pages. This report was given on By Santosh Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of the Jiram Murder Investigation Commission and Registrar of the Chhattisgarh High Court.

This report was tabled in the assembly, but not made public. It was said that the then government was not satisfied with this report. Hence, a second commission of inquiry was set up, but BJP leader Dharamlal Kaushik stayed in the High Court regarding the legality of this new commission of inquiry.

With the formation of SIT, NIA found no documents related to the investigation.

In the 2 charge sheets presented by the NIA, it was stated that the local Naxalites from Bastar carried out the incident. There was no big conspiracy behind it.

When this report came, the victims were not happy with it. At the time Daulat Rohra, close to VC Shukla, demanded a CBI inquiry. His demand was ignored. Daulat Rohra died on 20 April 2023.

Many new FIRs were again registered in the case under the Congress government.

Advocate Sudeep Srivastava said the Center refused a CBI probe. The state then set up the SIT, but the NIA refused to hand over its investigation log to the SIT.
