The active spiking of Ukraine, especially the south, by the Russian Federation last week led to a delay in the shipment of export goods and a decrease in the export rate by water transport. This is reported by APC-Inform, writes agronews.ua.

“Sea freight rates remained stable compared to last week. There is a reduction in the amount of cargo in April and May, which could affect the adjustment of rates. At the same time, freight rates from the Danube river ports to Constanta have increased to a level of 20-25 euros per ton,” the report said.

It is also explained that the current market rates for sea transport from the port of Chornomorsk are as follows:

  • Italy (east coast) – $31-32 (30-35 thousand tons);
  • Spain (Mediterranean) – $33-35 (30-35 thousand tons);
  • Portugal – $34-37 (30-35 thousand tons);
  • China – $65-67 (60-65 thousand tons).
