Pune: Exploring leopard footprints! Achi-News

Pune : Leader News Service : Senior officials along with the rescue team of the forest department visited the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana project in Vadgaon Khurd on Friday evening and tried to get footprints and other information about leopard roaming in the area.

The officials of the forest department immediately took notice of him and visited the Sinhagad PMAY Housing Society on Friday evening and assured that the leopard will be taken care of.

On this occasion Forester Vidyadhar Gandhili, Forest Guard Krishna Hake, Forest Guard Dayanand Gaikwad along with the rescue team staff and society president Sachin Deshmukh, local residents Prateek Gawli, Sudam Kumbar, Mangesh Ulhalkar, Mauli Shingare, Makarand Dhadwad, Srinivas Kangri, Chetan Sambre, Dinesh Shinde and others were present. This time the forest officials inspected the area. Information was given on what to look out for first when a leopard is seen. Instructions were given not to leave children outside the house at night and instructions were also given to activate the lighting system (lights) everywhere in the area. Also, the forest department will provide training to the residents through PPT on Sunday.
