Prince Harry is said to be trying to keep his relationship with the Royals intact.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly being forced by his wife, Meghan Markle, to reclaim his place in the Royal Family for their upcoming ventures.
Speaking to the Mirror, author Tom Quinn said: “Harry is under pressure to keep some kind of relationship with his family going, if only for the couples’ new ventures. Harry still has vague hopes of being forgiven and will be offered a minor role somewhere.”
The author then went on to compare Harry to King Edward VIII who abdicated for his love Wallis Simpson.
He added: “Even Edward VIII, after the abdication, had a few minor roles. And Harry will be aware of that.”
“There is a real danger that Harry will feel lost – just as Edward VIII felt lost when things cooled off with Mrs Simpson,” he pointed out.
The writer said: “That’s the point Harry will really make huge efforts to build bridges with his brother and get the right to be the part-time royal (with Meghan) he wants to be. But if palace officials get their way, it will never happen.”
