Navi Mumbai police bust a drug racket by raiding a flat. From where they found cocaine worth R1.61 million and many narcotics, along with that, 11 Nigerians running a drug racket were also arrested.
On Saturday, the Mumbai Police conducted a search operation to arrest the drug racket from Navi Mumbai. The police received information that some people were running a drug racket in a house in Koprigaon, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. A team of anti-trafficking cells raided here. where about 11 Nigerians were arrested. The officer said that cocaine worth Rs 1.61 crore and some drugs were recovered from here during the raid.
He said 11 Nigerians aged between 30 and 50 were arrested. He was caught after surgery on Saturday morning. The officer said that most of the drugs seized were cocaine, besides that there were also mepedrone and MDMA. All these drugs were worth about Rs.1,61,00,000. He said that mobile phones and other equipment worth about 25 lakh rupees were also purchased with him. The officer said that a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has also been registered at the APMC police station in Vashi.
