President Asif Ali Zardari has presented the prestigious “Tamgha-e-Khidmat” award to Muhammad Irfan Siddiqui in recognition of his two-decade-long commitment to promoting a positive image of Pakistan among the Japanese people, the Embassy of Pakistan in Japan said in a statement. on Wednesday.
The award was presented by Ambassador Raza Bashir Tarar at a formal ceremony held at the Pakistan Embassy in Tokyo, he added.
Last week, President Zardari presented Pakistan’s highest civilian awards to a number of Pakistani citizens as well as foreign nationals in recognition of their excellence, excellence, contributions and worth in various fields.
The awards were presented at an investiture ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr attended by ministers, members of the diplomatic corps and family members of those who received the awards.
In a separate ceremony, the president also presented insignia of military awards to 42 officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
