  • Purnima Mahato is also honored with the Dronacharya Award.

President Draupadi Murmu honored shooter Purnima Mahato from Jamshedpur and social worker Chami Murmu from Rajnagar (Seraikela) with Padma Shri at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Monday. Purnima Mahato has won many awards in archery after getting training by joining Tata Academy. In 1993 and 1998, Purnima represented the country in international competitions.

He won 6th in the National Games held in Pune in 1994.
