BJP with a very clear image and strategic ideology, released its manifesto for Lok Sabha General Election 2024, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders. The manifesto is called ‘Sankalp Patra’, as BJP is always bold in their decisions and opinions. In addition, in this term they also brought some difficult promises, and among all of them, it was necessary to highlight two. One of them refers to the implementation of the citizenship amendment law that was passed by the parliament in 2019, and has not yet entered into force. Specifically, the people of Assam had a major rejection as it directly violated the Assam Accord, which could harm their Lok Sabha polls. It should also be noted that in the state of Assam it is seen that people do not accept this, and several severe strikes have been taken. But when the Vidhan Sabha elections were on the ballot, the BJP had the clear majority to go ahead with this special issue mentioned. So, will the same kick continue or will the results be something different this time?

Following this, BJP again promised the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) empowering all citizens to share the same set of personal laws. There will not be certain privileges enjoyed by a particular community or religion, which emphasizes the indication towards the Muslim’s personal law councils. They will not be allowed to do the methods they used to do, and this is again a bold decision after Article 370, which may be a big curse on the Muslim voting population in these 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Article 44 of the Constitution lists the Uniform Civil Code as one of the guiding principles of the country’s policy. BJP believes that there can be no gender equality until such time as Bharat adopts a Uniform Civil Code, which protects the rights of all women. So, will it be another blockbuster, or will it face some backlash? Talking about Uttarakhand, UCC is already implemented there with smooth running, also became the first state to do so.

If you go ahead with so many promises, will BJP succeed in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, and will they again fulfill their promises like ‘Ram Mander’, Article 370, development issues etc. Can they reach the magic number of 272 or will they cross the line and form the government for three consecutive terms making it a hat-trick? There are so many questions like – what will happen? And who will win – BJP or Congress? Since the Congress seems like they are only bothering the BJP’s actions in their manifesto with some particular issues on it, will there actually be any new changes? So wait, the real battle hasn’t started yet now!
