Gambaria In view of the Lok Sabha elections, on the instructions of Superintendent of Foreign Affairs Vimla Lakra, the Customs Department team on Friday, on secret information, raided the illegal liquor distilleries running in Gandedungri and Ukam forest under Gamharia police station. Gambaria police also cooperated in this. During this, the team demolished the kilns that were running there and destroyed about 8400 kg of Java Mahua. The team has recovered 70 liters of liquor from the furnaces. As soon as the raid got wind, illegal furnace operators Babulal Mandal, Shankar Mandal and Hopna Manjhi fled. The team has registered a case against him under the Excise Act and started raids to arrest him. The raid team included Foreign Sub-Inspector Neeraj Kumar, Police Sub-Inspector Aditya Mishra, ASI Shivnath Ram and Home Guard jawans.
