Ahead of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Congress secretary Jairam Ramesh on Saturday made serious allegations against the Modi government. According to him, under the Modi government, 21 billionaires and huge corporations got tax cuts, but salaried people, the middle class and workers pay more income tax than before. According to him, when Dr. Manmohan Singh left office, the personal income tax was 21% of the total tax collection, while the corporate tax was 35%.
