During the proceedings, the High Court issued a severe warning to the legal cell of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) regarding the call for demonstrations in the court premises.

“The right to go to court is a fundamental right. It is impossible to arrest anyone, if someone arrests the common people, it will have very serious consequences,” the High Court of Justice warned, as quoted in the media.

Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 and later remanded in Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody till March 28 by a Delhi court for further investigation.

On Tuesday, AAP members and supporters staged protests over Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, attempting to march towards the Prime Minister’s residence before he was arrested. Meanwhile, the BJP organized counter-demonstrations, calling for the resignation of the Delhi Chief Minister.
