Raipur: A terrible accident in Chhattisgarh. 19 passengers died when the pick-up van overturned. At least 8 injured. The injured was sent to a local hospital. After receiving the information, the administration started rescue work. This horrific accident happened on Monday. Ten of the dead were then cremated on a pyre on Wednesday. The rest of the dead were also cremated in the same place.
According to police and local sources, a pick-up van loaded with passengers lost control and fell into a ditch near Bahpani village under Kukdur police station in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district on Monday. Almost all of the passengers in the car are said to be workers.

The car crashed on the way home after collecting kendupa leaves from a local forest. 19 people died on the spot. 14 of them are women. 4 passengers were sent to hospital in a serious condition. Kabirdham district Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallab said the police have started rescuing the injured.
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma posted on his X handle after receiving the news of the accident and expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. He writes, “Pick-up van lost control while returning with workers and overturned. The death of workers in this incident is very sad. My condolences to all the families who lost loved ones in this accident. Wishing a speedy recovery to those injured. The state government and local administrations are with all workers and their families who have been affected by the accident. “
