The global economy is expected to lose about 19% of income over the next 25 years due to climate change. This information is provided in a new study published on Wednesday.
This research was done by scientists from Germany’s Podsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. The study says climate impacts could cost the global economy $38 trillion a year by 2049.
Leonie Wentz, the scientist who led the study, published in the journal Nature, said: “Our analysis shows that climate change will cause massive economic losses in almost all countries around the world in the next 25 years. These also include developed countries such as America, France, Germany.
