₹26 lakh worth of YABA tablets seized in Hilakandi; Two was held Achi-News

GUWAHATI: Police in Hilakandi recovered 8,600 YABA tablets with an estimated street value of ₹26 lakh and arrested two persons on Tuesday, April 30.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team, led by officer-in-charge of Hailakandi police station Bishnu Baruah, launched an operation in Thandpur area of ​​the city in south Assam.

During the activity, a vehicle was stopped and a thorough search was conducted which revealed the cache of drugs.

In addition to the drugs, the police also confiscated ₹80,000 in cash allegedly linked to the illegal activity.

Two persons, identified as Anam Uddin Laskar and Abdul Rauf, were caught by the police and are currently in custody in Panchagram.
