The Ministry of Finance released the Fiscal Implementation Report, the budget deficit between July and March 2024 was 3902 billion rupees.
According to the report, the budget deficit was 3.7 percent from July to March, while the total income was 9780 billion rupees and the total expenditure was 13 thousand 682 billion rupees.
The report states that the tax revenue between July and March was 7262 billion rupees, when the federal government collected 6711 billion rupees and the states collected 550 billion rupees.

According to the report, tax-free income in 9 months was 2517 billion rupees, 12 thousand 333 billion rupees were spent on ongoing costs while 5517 billion rupees were spent on interest payments on loans.
The report said that 1222 billion rupees were spent on defense in 9 months.
