North Bengal News Digital Desk: Avinashi Ganeshmurthy, MDMK MP from Erode constituency in Tamil Nadu died of a heart attack. According to family sources, he tried to commit suicide by eating pesticides last Sunday. He was rushed to a private hospital in Erode as he fell ill. He was under treatment in ICU. Ventilation support also had to be provided. Later that day at noon he was shifted to a hospital in Coimbatore. Doctors said the MP’s physical condition was critical. It is observed for 48 hours. MP died of a heart attack on Thursday morning. He was 76 years old at the time of his death.
Ganeshamurthy is the current Member of Parliament from Erode constituency in Tamil Nadu. He won from that center on DMK ticket in 2019. He was not given MDMK ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. DMK is now fielding its own candidates in that seat. According to party sources, he was disappointed because he was not given tickets. That is why he tried to commit suicide.
