Voting for the 175-member assembly of Andhra Pradesh and 25 Lok Sabha seats will be held on May 13. Meanwhile, TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has promised financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to Muslim pilgrims for Haj pilgrimage. He said that TDP, BJP and Jansana together will form the government in Andhra Pradesh. Once the NDA comes to power, Hajj assistance will be given to every Muslim going to Makkah.
Leader of Opposition Naidu interacted with people from the Muslim community in Nallar on Sunday. During this, he mentioned that the erstwhile TDP government had itself accorded festival status to the state’s Muslim festival ‘Rotyan Ki Eid’. He said that today the Muslims of Hyderabad are far ahead of the Muslims elsewhere. The credit for this goes to his party TDP. According to him, TDP was a part of the NDA earlier also. Despite this, the party has never done injustice to the Muslim community.
CM Reddy has not built a single mosque in five years
Former Chief Minister Chandrababu said that Urdu University was established in Hyderabad and Haj House was built during the TDP government. He alleged that YSRCP chief and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had not made any effort to build a single mosque in the last five years. At the same time, the YSRCP government gave unconditional support to the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and other initiatives of the central government.
