Rejecting the old policy, the Punjab Assembly Speaker set up a wheat procurement committee Achi-News

Lahore (News Desk) The government and the opposition parties in the Punjab Assembly once again expressed their doubts on the wheat policy also being rejected.

According to details, Food Minister Bilal Yasin failed to satisfy the House on the issue of wheat purchase in the Punjab Assembly session presided over by Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan.

The Arakan government and opposition criticized the wheat policy and said the food minister was supposed to brief the House today but has nothing to say. The opposition also threatened to boycott the next session.

The government and members of the opposition parties said that if the government has to buy from the farmers who have only 6 acres, then who will buy the rest of the wheat, why the imports of the wheat should also be investigated.

The food department will start the wheat procurement process from Saturday

Food Minister Bilal Yasin told the House that one and a half lakh applications have been received for grain application, wheat will be purchased as per the announced policy, he said that the farmer will not be left on his own head.

After the wheat procurement and emergency debate in the Punjab Assembly, the House agreed on 4 points.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan said at the end of the debate that the House today rejected the policy of buying wheat up to 6 hectares, if they buy wheat from them, what will be the situation of the rest of the farmers.

Punjab Assembly Speaker further said that how wheat is imported and why, the farmer is pushed here, if we don’t take care of them, who will take care of them, we will take care of them.

Speaker Mohammad Ahmad Khan adjourned the Punjab Assembly meeting till 9 am tomorrow by forming a wheat procurement committee consisting of 3 members including Mujtaba Shuja and Bilal Yasin.
