Prime Minister Modi said in a speech that “We have come a long way since 2019. Now it is a global alliance of 39 countries and 7 organizations. This is a good sign for the future.” He added, “We have all seen that natural disasters are becoming more and more severe. The damage they cause is usually expressed in dollars, but its real impact on individuals, families and communities goes beyond these figures. We must invest in sustainable infrastructure today must naturally include a focus on post-disaster relief and rehabilitation “.

In the next two days there will be discussions on CDRI: Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Modi said, “It is a matter of pleasure that CDRI’s focus is on the Global South. An important step has been taken during India’s presidency of the G20. A new Working Group on Disaster Risk Reduction has been established. CDRI’s development together, such steps will take the world towards a sustainable future , I am sure there will be discussions on CDRI in the next couple of days.

Examples of this are the sustainable housing program in the Dominican Republic and the sustainable transportation program in Papua New Guinea.
