Ranchi On May 3, Arjun Baitha filed nomination as an independent candidate for the Gandey Assembly by-election. Arjun was the AJSU candidate from Gandey in the assembly elections 2019. In that election, he stood third with 15,361 votes. But, this time, angry for not getting the ticket, he has contested the elections as an independent candidate. This is seen as a rebellion in the NDA. However, in the Gandey Assembly by-election, the BJP made Dilip Verma the NDA candidate.

Last time JP Verma was BJP candidate from here. He
