Police say a 71-year-old man died after his vehicle left the road in Mapleton, NS, Monday afternoon.
Cumberland County District RCMP, fire crews and an ambulance responded to the scene on Highway 2 at approximately 1:50 p.m.
Police say a beige Toyota Tacoma left the highway, hit a power pole and overturned in a ditch.
The driver, a man from nearby Southampton, died at the scene.
Police say the crash is under investigation with the assistance of a collision reconstructionist and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Service.
