A fire broke out in the Ganga Gallery of the Patna Museum located in Budhamarg around 10:45 am on Wednesday. Welding work was going on there. Fiber sheets were cut. During this, sparks came out of the cutter, because of which the straw caught fire. In a short time the fire took a terrible shape. The 12 workers present at the scene tried to put out the fire, but when they saw the high flames, they all ran to save their lives. As soon as the information was received, 25 fire brigades arrived and extinguished the fire in about an hour and a half. Other parts of the museum including the Patli Gallery attached to the Ganga Gallery were filled with smoke. The windows were broken to let the smoke out.
Both firemen’s hands were cut when breaking the glass. Later
