Taking to official Instagram, Karan Kundrra shared a glimpse of his new ride, HM Contessa, along with an interesting history.
Karan Kundrra, who is gearing up for the release of Tera Kya Hoga Lovely with Ileana D’Cruz and Randeep Hooda, recently added a vintage car to his garage. Taking to official Instagram, the actor shared a glimpse of his new ride, which is a stunning HM Contessa, along with an interesting back story. The series of pictures featured Karan posing stylishly next to the car, as well as on top of it and even in the back. The images suggest that the actor wasted no time as he was seen cruising around the city with the beauty and even took the vehicle to the iconic Bandra-Worli sea link. Karan expressed his excitement by revealing that he saw and instantly fell in love with this beauty in Munnar. The classic blue muscle car, originally designed by Vauxhall, has been discontinued long ago and apparently Karan acquired the car from a fellow car enthusiast.
According to OTT Play, the vintage car produces 88 bhp power, 135 nm torque and features a 1.8-litre engine. Originally available for sale for less than Rs 5 lakhs, the exact amount Karan paid for this vintage beauty remains a mystery. However, considering its unique features, the Kitani Mohabbat Hai actor may have invested more than the original price to acquire this model. Sharing the post, Karan wrote, “Met this beauty in Munnar and fell in love instantly. One of the original Vauxhall’s we later came to love as the iconic HM Contessa and guess what, I had to have it in my garage and finally it’s here.”
Apart from his recently acquired HM Contessa, Karan Kundrra, who is known for his love for cars, has an impressive array of luxury vehicles in his garage. His collection includes Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, Mini Cooper, Ford Endeavour, Range Rover, Ducati Diavel and Harley Davidson.
Interestingly, Karan was not the only car enthusiast and artist to buy recently, as Munawar Faruqui also joined the club by welcoming a black Range Rover to his collection. The winner of Bigg Boss 17 had already secured a Hyundai Creta, along with Rs. 50 lakhs and the trophy for winning the show led by Salman Khan.
After hosting Temptation Island alongside Mouni Roy, Karan Kundrra won acclaim for his role in Thank You For Coming, starring Bhumi Pednekar. Now, the versatile actor is gearing up for the release of Tera Kya Hoga Lovely, where he will be sharing the screen with Ileana D’Cruz and Randeep Hooda. The film is slated to hit the screens on March 8. Additionally, fans can look forward to seeing Karan in the upcoming romantic serial Love Adhura.
