Jalapaiguri: Drug smuggling under the cover of parcels sent in the name of tea garden, two arrested with prohibited cuff syrup during police nose check. Prohibited syrup was recovered from a Sikkim numbered vehicle during naka inspection by Mal police station at Ellenbari police check point in the border area of ​​Jalpaiguri and Kalimpong districts.
According to police sources, the syrup bottles inside the parcel were addressed to a tea garden in Sikkim. Malbazar police arrested two persons with around 85 bottles of banned syrup. This huge quantity of contraband cough syrup was being transported to Sikkim but before that the smugglers were caught by the plainclothes police of Mal police station.
