DG Health of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been suspended for accepting bribes from employees in return for transfer.
According to the details, DG Health of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, Dr. Shaukat Ali, has been suspended on the charge of taking bribe in exchange for transfer of staff.
A health department spokesperson says DG Health has been suspended for allegedly demanding a bribe from an employee.
A complaint was lodged against DG Health by Clinical Technician (Cardiology) Iram Noreen to the higher authorities of the Health Department.
The Ministry of Health says that complaints have been received about alleged demands for bribes in connection with the transfer of the Bano District Teaching Hospital to Mufti Mahmoud MTI DI Khan Hospital.
The department suspended the general manager of the base of class Shokat Ali and began an investigation, Dr. Shokat Ali will remain suspended until the end of the investigation.
The KPK Health Department says all legal requirements including NOC for transfer have been met, and all DG Health officials involved will be severely punished under the A&E rules.
